Le peintre Hervé Lebreton et la poétique de la femme - Haitian Book Centre - Haitian Books in Creole, English and French, francophone litterature - Cliquer pour agrandir The book is an iconographic essay by well known art historian and critic Gérard Etienne. It also contents over 25 color plates.

Hervé Lebreton is a singer, composer, guitarist, dancer and painter. He started painting at a very early age. Attended “Academie des Beaux Arts” in Port-au-Prince, then at the ABC School in Paris and at the Bellas Artes in Santiago, Chile.
Lebreton moved to Canada in 1970, where today he writes and paints.
His style could be described as neo-or para-surrealist with a prevailing dreamlike quality. His works have often been showcased in solo or group exhibitions at many venues, including Haïti, the USA, Europe, the U.S., Central and South America.
